PROFILE

PREAMBLE:

A non-governmental organization ,a forum of social development, came into existence in 2004-05, under the company’s act. Samanvaya is a co-ordination of people irrespective of caste& creed.
Samanvaya has nearly 500 youths who are working for the welfare of society. Samanvaya believes that personality development and development of youths will in turn leads to the successful development of any society.

Samanvaya also concentrates on the status and problems of women and children and takes necessary steps in the enlistment of their position. Samanvaya is run by the intellectually powerful youths qualified, who are ready to come out with brilliant ideas and selfless services whenever the work is needed. Uneducated, illiterate rural youths, an adolescent child and helpless women are the main target of help from Samanvaya. They help them in all possible ways to get succeeded in society and to lead a healthy life.

Samanvaya started with a small group of close net of friends and now have an unbelievable number of as many as 2000 families involved in this organization. The awakening and thought provoking words of Swami Vivekananda is the inspiration and motivation for these members which they imply in rendering the services to the society. Samanvaya entrusts that the youths of today’s society are the rulers of tomorrow. So they concentrate on the overall development of the society. Samanvaya has encompassed and also have won the hearts of many great personalities and intellectuals of local realm.

Basic information and events of the Organization.
a) Street play: Samanvaya comprises of its own street play team and enact numerous dramas of social incidents. The main intention of this is to have a Preventive approach through the youths .Through street play they are promoting the awareness in the society. Around 15-20 people who are involved only for street play are dependant on this for their livelihood.

b) Counseling centre (Navu-Neevu): Samanvaya also gains a major credit of having an effective counseling centre which pre dominantly concentrates on the issue of adolescence the upcoming youth’s psychological problems. There are about 350 families who are benefited through this.

c) School reaching programme: Samanvaya has also conducted the school reaching programme for the children aged between 6 to 12 to educate them with games teaching them moralities, Patriotism, social service from the preliminary level through moral stories.

d) Traditional band teams: Samanvaya have added feather of traditional band team especially folk teams collected in many villages. These teams carry forward the old folk dance and folk traditions to the future generation.

e) Urban forestry Development Programme : The cities of nowadays have been flushed out the forests in the name of urbanization and privatization. It is an emergency for the existing citizens to promotes awareness and develop forest in urban areas. In this regards, Samanvaya has taken an extremely effective step in promoting urban forestry and has planted many trees and have the target to plant many more thousands of trees in urban areas.

f) Youth forum: It is a known truth that in development of any healthy society the participation, involvement and services of youths is very much necessary. Considering this, Samanvaya has trooped its own Youth forum which an association of youths, which first began from the unique social activity members / friends of Samanvaya, Shimoga. It has enriching members of 2000 youths increasing day by day.

g) Research project: Research project is also under taken by Samanvaya in assistance with National Geographic Channel in survey of animal. Samanvaya has also undertaken many evaluation projects from the Government/Non-Government Sector.

h) Clean City : It is one of the well featured programmmes in Samanvaya. This is meant for the healthy social concepts. This programme has to cultivate the cleanliness in the society. Its main purpose is to eradicate unhealthy environment. By giving proper guidelines to the society for the clean environment. Many men and women are participating very actively with the support of Public representatives.
